Dear Friend and Supporter

The Northland JC foundation is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization dedicated on the support and furtherance of educational endeavors in our community. Though, we focus on college scholarships and teacher fellowship grants. In the past, we have also provided support to such organizations as the Greater Northland Jaycees, the Missouri Jaycees, the Missouri State School at Maple woods and clinics for the Kansas City area running community. We have also supported and participated in Prostate Cancer awareness and educational programs.

Our objective is to provide a $1000. Scholarship for each of the six high schools in the NKC and Park Hill school districts each year. In addition, we try to offer $4000. In teacher fellowship grants to schools and teachers to help fund unbudgeted special projects and programs.

In the past, we have relied on hosting a benefit 5K Race event to fund our programs. But, due to the competition for dates, the underwriting expense and the manpower demand, we have decided not to host our event this year.

We are hoping that we can appeal to friends and supporters of our organization to help pick up the slack, so we will be able to meet our objectives next year. We have a lot of people counting on our organization to help them with their educational plans.

So, I am appealing to you to help, in two ways.

1. By contributing to the NJCF. We are asking our friends and supporters to contribute $100. But if you cannot afford that much we would appreciate whatever you can do. Whether it is $5, $10. $25, $50. Or more it will help to meet our goals to raise $8,000.

2. Forward this email, or copy and send the attached letter to friends, family and business associates who might be able to help.

As you know, education is very important. Many of us received support to further our educations from family, groups and associations like the Jaycees, and financial aid. Now, more than ever it is important for groups like ours to be able to help with the financial assistance of continuing education.

So, please take a few minutes and decide how much you can give and send a check to:
